9:30 am – Registration, Buy Lunch Ticket and Refreshments - Physics Rooms, Westside High School
An Understanding Human Motion CD will be given to every person who did not get one at the national meeting in Sacramento in August, 2004.

10:00 am - Keynote Address – Westside Lecture Hall

11:15 am to 12:30 pm - Book signing by Albert A. Bartlett
Professor Bartlett’s collection of exponential articles in book form, The Essential Exponential! For the Future of Our Planet, and a DVD of his lecture, Arithmetic, Population and Energy, will be available for a combined price of $25 to persons attending the section meeting. Cash, check, or credit card will be accepted.

11:15 am –12:30 pm In parallel with the book signing will be a drop-in and out tutorial in the lecture hall – “How to teach the exponential function to students of low math skills using ideas from Bartlett’s book and semi-log graph paper” by Robert G. Fuller, Univ. of Nebraska – Lincoln

12:30 pm- Lunch and Section Business Meeting -Westside High School Cafeteria - $6

1:45 pm – 3 pm – Hands-on Exponential Function Activities – Physics Rooms, Westside High School
At individual learning centers participants will get to explore a variety of exponential functions laboratory and paper and pencil activities that they can use with their students, from middle school through college. Coordinated by John Rogers and Robert Fuller

After 3 pm – Informal chatting and safe trips home for everyone.
